Assam Cricket Association
Assam Cricket Association is one of the 38 State sides of India. The ACA Cricket Academy feeds directly into the Rajasthan Royals IPL team. It is situated in the far north east of the country, in an area known as ‘The Seven Sisters‘.
The players
Currently the ACA Cricket Academy has 40 full time players enrolled in the academy, soon expanding to over 300 players. The players live in, go to school and attend the program for approximately 4 years. The players train 12 times per week and enjoy Sunday off. So if you intend to tour and play against the ACA Cricket Academy, come prepared! The level of commitment from the players is high and support for the academy from the Association is fully supported.

About the ACA Cricket Academy
Facilities: The ACA Cricket Academy is currently located at Barsapara Cricket Ground in Guwahati, Assam India. The facilities are amazing. 40,000 seat flood-lit stadium, 50 practice wickets, separate training ground, swimming pool onsite, gym, sauna, steam room and onsite physiotherapy.
Recent renovations: The ground and grand stands have recently been renovated and pass ICC and BCCI International ground standards. Rajasthan Royals played two IPL games at Barsapara in 2023 and the Australia T20 team are touring v India, in November 2023.
Accommodation: Hotels in Guwahati are of a high standard. IPL teams stay in local hotels and are well catered for. All groups can be catered for at whatever level of comfort you require.
Transport: Air-conditioned coaches and minibuses are the norm. Assam can have varying temperatures during the year. Being so close to the Himalayan mountains can be a benefit and be quite cool, but it can also be very hot and humid. ACA has a long established transport company association that more than caters for our varied needs.
Security: The ground has its own full 24hr security guards based at the ground. A large security team is on hand at all times. The Association caters for International teams, IPL teams, BCCI games and political delegates.
Activities: The Brahmaputra River is India’s biggest river and only male river for that fact. Assam, being at the base of the Himalayan mountains, offers many exciting outward bound expeditions. Also the chance to track down the national Assamese symbol, the one horned Rhino, which brings plenty of things to do when you’re not playing cricket. Assam is rich in culture and history.
Food: With high summer rainfall, the fruit and vegetables are world class. Assam is the biggest tea district in India, producing over half the tea in India. The food quality is high and they are known for their mild curries and a lot of beautiful vegetarian curries too. With an onsite restaurant available for all meals, 7 days a week, you will get to experience Assam’s delicious food.
